Frequently asked questions
Is UC Bureau Compliance really free?
Yes. Every tool — carrier lookup, audit-readiness scoring, deadline tracking, the Carrier Hub, document upload, broker-ready packet — is 100% free. No paywall, no trial. You only need a free account if you want to save your data across sessions and devices.
What does the Carrier Hub track?
39 baseline FMCSA compliance items across 10 audit categories: USDOT/MC authority, BOC-3, insurance (BIPD + cargo), UCR, IFTA, IRP, HVUT, MCS-150 biennial update, drug & alcohol consortium, driver qualification files, vehicle inspection records, HOS/ELD records, accident register, and more. Each item shows status (Compliant, At Risk, Missing, Archived), expiry date, renewal reminder, and a slot to upload your supporting document.
Where does the FMCSA data come from?
Live from the FMCSA SAFER system. Carrier authority, safety rating, CSA BASIC scores, insurance, and operating data are pulled on demand and cached briefly. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Transportation or FMCSA — we just make their data easier to act on.
Do I need to be a trucking company to use this?
No. The platform works for: aspiring carriers planning their authority, active owner-operators, small fleets up to 50 trucks, and safety service providers managing multiple DOT numbers on behalf of carriers.
How do I share my compliance status with a broker or shipper?
The Carrier Hub generates a shareable, read-only packet with a unique short URL that expires after 30 days. Brokers click the link, see your authority + insurance + signed COI + W-9, and you skip the email back-and-forth.
What about the new-entrant FMCSA audit?
The Audit Score tool runs you through the same 23 yes/no questions FMCSA auditors check — driver files, drug program, vehicle records, HOS, accident register, recordkeeping. You get a percentage score and a list of gaps to fix before the audit.
Can I use this for IFTA, IRP, UCR, MCS-150 deadlines?
Yes. The Renewals page lists all 23 federal compliance renewals with deadlines, costs, portal links, and 49 CFR citations. The Carrier Hub tracks each one with reminders before expiry.
